Fragrant, fleshy wine. A blend of 50% Cabernet, Malbec 36%, Merlot 14%

Deep and youthful in colour, it is full bodied, with strong blackcurrant, plum and spice flavours, showing excellent ripeness and complexity, a firm tannin finish.

2016 VINTAGE 4 ½ STARS
The fragrant, fleshy 2016 vintage is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (50 per cent), Merlot (30 per cent) and Cabernet Franc (20 per cent), matured in French oak barriques. Deep and youthful in colour, it is full-bodied, with strong blackcurrant, plum and spice flavours, showing excellent ripeness and complexity, and a firm tannin grip. 2015 VINTAGE 3 ½ STARS
The full-coloured 2015 vintage is a medium to full-bodied red with fresh, plummy, spicy flavours, hints of tamarillos, olives and herbs, a gentle seasoning of toasty oak, fine-grained tannins and a very smooth finish. - Micheal Cooper

2014 VINTAGE 4 STARS
The dark 2014 vintage was hand-picked on Waiheke Island and matured for a year in seasoned French oak barriques. The bouquet is fresh and fragrant; the palate is mouthfilling, with generous, ripe blackcurrant, plum, herb and spice flavours, showing good density and complexity. - Micheal Cooper

2011 VINTAGE 3 STARS
Grown on Waiheke Island, the 2011 vintage is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (70 per cent), Merlot (20 per cent) and Malbec (10 per cent). A mid-weight style, with fullish, slightly developed colour, it is savoury, with blackcurrant and spice flavours, showing a distinctly herbal thread. - Micheal Cooper

2008 VINTAGE 4 STARS
Grown on Waiheke Island, the 2008 vintage (4*) is drinking well now. Savoury and spicy, with good tannin support, it is full-coloured and ripe-tasting, with very satisfying depth and complexity. - Micheal Cooper
