Awaroa "Melba Peach" 2024

Powerful nose with dark berry fruits, creamy vanilla and smoky oak too. All the flavours from the aroma follow through to the palate. Great structure and mouth-feel with fine grained tannins and long finish. Very pure fruit flavours. A classic Awaroa Melba Peach Reserve Syrah. Will age for 10+ years easily.

2015 VINTAGE 5 STARS
Is a concentrated, finely textured Waiheke Island red. Well worth cellaring, it has rich blackberry, spice, liquorice and toasty oak flavours, fine-grained tannins, and excellent balance and length. (2020 MC guide) - Michael Cooper

2014 VINTAGE 5 STARS
Dark and dense, the powerful 2014 vintage is still very youthful. Matured for a year in French oak barriques (50 per cent new), it has highly concentrated, ripe plum and black-pepper flavours, woven with fresh acidity, and a tightly structured, long, spicy finish. - Michael Cooper
