Awaroa Adamo Syrah 2020

Since 2008 Awaroa has produced 10 Reserve Syrah vintages. We only produce the wines when the quality is exceptional. These wines are released under the Melba Peach label or, if especially high quality as "Adamo".  All these wines have scored 5 stars in Michael Coopers Buyers Guide. Wines that have achieved five "5 star" reviews are considered "Super Classics".

Here is Michael Coopers note on the 2020 Adamo:

Dark and purple-flushed, the 2020 vintage (5*) is Awaroa's 'Super Reserve' Syrah. Estate-grown, it was matured for a year in French oak barriques (30 per cent new). A refined, very finely textured red, it is mouthfilling, savoury and supple, with generous, ripe blackcurrant, plum and spice flavours, a hint of liquorice, gentle tannins, and excellent weight and harmony. Best drinking 2027+.
