2021 Waiheke Road Reserve BDX - Single

The wine is a mixture of Merlot (50%), Cabernet Franc (25%), Cabernet Sauvignon (20%) and Petit Verdot (6%) - our take on a Bordeaux “Right Bank” wine. A powerful rich opulent wine from an exceptional vintage, it has a bouquet of fantastic ripe fruit, particularly blueberry and blackberry, mint and geranium. A full bodied wine with a rich palate. Once again, dark fruits are prominent, as well as oak and hints of spice. It has a long lingering finish with fine grained tannins and will age wonderfully over the next decade.
